Egg Carton Wreath Easter Craft

DIY· Posts

This Egg Carton Wreath Easter Craft is so much fun to make together as a family!

Seasonal crafts and recipes are some of my very favorite things — Inspired by all of the egg crafts I’ve found online, I thought “Well, instead of an egg craft, why don’t I make something with the egg cartons?” So here’s my Egg Carton Easter Wreath! This is a great upcycled craft project, perfect for Earth Day in April, too. My children {ages 2 and 4} both helped me paint and glue the flowers to the wreath – it’s a great family project!Egg Carton Easter Wreath

Egg Carton Wreath Materials:

  • Cardboard egg cartons (I used 5)
  • Craft paints
  • Paint brushes
  • Large piece of cardboard
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Egg Carton Wreath Directions:

Begin by gathering all of your materials. I used a paper plate as my paint palette. Gather Your Materials Cut your egg cartons into separate little cups. Cut the edge of the cups to look like all different types of flowers. You can create loops, spikes, or thin cuts throughout. Use your creativity! Cut flowersPaint the inside and outside of the flowers. You can do the same color or different colors. I chose different pastel colors to go with the Easter/Spring theme. I even cut out the narrow pieces between the eggs within the carton to make centers for some of the flowers.Paint the Flowers From your cardboard, cut out a large circle with a hole in the middle. Paint this circle green. I also cut leaf shapes from the egg carton tops and painted those green. I glued the leaves to the circle. I then squeezed glue all over the wreath to adhere flowers. Cut circle and leaves Glue the flowers to the wreath. Vary the colors and shapes to make it interesting. Glue Flowers to Wreath

Allow the egg carton wreath to dry thoroughly – and it is complete! Egg Carton Easter Wreath Craft

My favorite feature in All You is the fashion using REAL-sized women and shopping at stores I would actually shop at. Nothing too froo-froo, crazy expensive or unattainable.

Well, besides the obvious COUPONS answer (because frankly, the coupons have been somewhat lacking the past 4 months or so……)

I love that the recipes are simple and do-able. I am a fairly accomplished cook, but I find myself lately looking to All You for recipes to feed my finicky father.

Now tell me how to hang it up. As you can tell, I am not a DIYer! I want to do this with my 4th graders or pass it on to the After School Program Art Teacher
